The truth about @SpaceAstro, formerly @Astronautics
This is an update because he's been making some changes in an effort to hide the rotten things he's done. @Astronautics has changed his name to @SpaceAstro.
If you haven't already figured it out, @Astronautics on Twitter is not associated with NASA or any other space program in any way. He watches NASA TV and tweets what he sees there or copies from NASA press releases. There is nothing wrong with that in itself, but the problem is that he regularly slanders his followers, then deletes the evidence after it has been seen by tens of thousands of people. He thinks his behavior is funny and he is proud of it, yet he deletes the evidence. We think it is a stunt to get more attention. This kind of behavior cannot be tolerated. Please do not indulge him by following or retweeting- that is just what he wants. Simply unfollow and block him.
@Astronautics especially targets kind hearted women who feel sorry for him and then DMs them asking them to call him. Once he has their phone number, he is relentless and calls repeatedly until they have to change their phone numbers. Then he tweets about them referring to them as "whores" or "sluts." He also likes to attack Christians, saying they are not really Christians if they don't do what he wants them to.
He used to post under the name @astrospace, until he had a meltdown and lashed out, spewing bile at his followers and deleted the account. Someone else grabbed it, and then he claimed it had been hacked. He is delusional.
He has made statements recently saying he has the FBI investigating people that are posting things about him. This is all a bunch of crap. He fancies himself to be a celebrity, but he’s just a twisted egomaniac and master manipulator. He lives in the UK, not the US, and he is just making stuff up. Don’t fall for it.
You might be wondering, if all this is true, why does he have so many followers? It isn’t rocket science. He follows first. It is no coincidence that his number of followers tracks closely with that of the legitimate Twitter account, @NASA. He probably uses an auto-follow tool to harvest followers from @NASA’s (and possibly others) follower list. A large percentage follow him back. You will notice that if he follows you and you don’t follow back he will unfollow and refollow you again repeatedly. This is because he regularly runs an unfollow tool to dump people that aren’t following him back and then the auto-follow tool again to pick up new followers. He’s obsessed with his numbers of followers.
Not sure who to believe? Do your own research. Here are some places to get you started.
Here you can find the posts he deleted recently (just type astronautics in the window):
http://tweleted.com/ Tweleted has been having some problems pulling in Tweets since the big DDOS attacks on 8/6/09. You can always use Twitter search for "astronautics" to see the latest craziness, though. They stay in search after they are deleted from his feed.
It seems that @SpaceAstro is much more careful about what he posts now, and chooses to abuse followers via DMs. Watch out!

He has several other Twitter accounts as well (there are probably more):
The latest is:
@peaceoffering, where he is apparently attempting to be seen as a decent person, while he continues to rant and rave on his other account.
